The awards – run by Master Electricians the peak industry body representative of which O'Brien Electrical Yarraville are a member – allow for recognition of the industry’s highest performers.
Founded in 1937 as the Electrical Contractors Association, Master Electricians Australia has supported and advocated for electrical contractors for over 80 years, making it one of the longest-standing industry associations.
In 2008, Master Electricians Australia (MEA) was founded in response to a perceived need for a national approach to industry leadership and growth. Since then, the Master Electricians brand has evolved into a symbol of confidence for electrical contractors and customers throughout the country.
The Electrical Industry Excellence Awards is the industry’s preeminent award programme, created to recognise and celebrate our industry’s excellence.
The National Quality Awards recognise accomplishments throughout the events sector and highlight the remarkable effort and excellence of Australian people and enterprises.
Angela and Simone were nominated as finalists for the Women in Contracting award
The Women in Contracting award is awarded to a deserving female executive, leader, or support position in the electrical contracting business. These women often do a number of tasks inside the firm, including sales, human resources, administration, marketing, public relations, and finance.
Whilst Angela and Simone did not ultimately win the award, their recognition as finalists was a triumph in itself and highlights the quality and diversity of people employed at O'Brien Electrical and the pride we take in our team.
As finalists, Angela and Simone were present at the Master Electrician’s Gala Dinner held on Saturday November 27, representing the O'Brien Electrical Yarraville team incredibly proud.
