O'Brien's Plumbing Maroochydore is, without question, the most incompetent plumbing company I’ve ever dealt with. I’m genuinely baffled they are still in business. My experience with them during my new build was nothing short of a disaster, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
Despite “checking” three times that the external pipes were installed, they blatantly failed to do their job. When the ground was dug up, it became glaringly obvious the pipes they insisted were “definitely there” were, in fact, missing. This level of negligence in regard to basic plumbing is staggering.
Post-build, when my new fridge with an ice maker and water dispenser arrived, it couldn’t even be connected because water was pouring out of the fitting on the wall. Upon calling them as directed by my builder, I was met with nothing but arrogance and excuses. They claimed, “someone else must have loosened it” and flat-out refused to consider any other option or to even come and look at it. No one had touched it, but instead of listening, they talked down to me, "Can't you clearly see that?". As though I was too stupid to understand.
When I mentioned the previous plumbing issue they had caused and how my faith in it being right just on his word, I was hit with the most insulting response yet: “You’re just after anything you can get, trying to find any little thing to get us for, aren’t you?”. No, all I wanted was for the plumbing I paid for to actually work—not to be gaslit and patronised.
Shane, in particular, was abhorrent—his arrogance and dismissiveness were unmatched. The utter lack of professionalism was beyond comprehension.
If you value your sanity and want the work you’ve paid for to be done properly, avoid O'Brien's Plumbing Maroochydore at all costs. This company is a nightmare, and dealing with them was one of the most unnecessarily stressful experiences. I’m only writing this review so others can avoid the anguish I went through.
