More small businesses have the opportunity to improve their energy efficiency with the second round of Energy Efficient Grants just being released – and we are fully equipped to help your business leverage them!
The second round of grants runs until 8 April 2024 and provides 100% funding to businesses that have plans in place to reduce the energy consumption of their business. The grants are first in best dressed and vary from $10,000 to $25,000, with an allocation of $10.7M in Victoria.
The grant program is established to support the transition of Australia’s economy to net-zero emissions by 2050, and to help Australia take a leadership role internationally in responding to climate change.
Qualifying factors for the grant are:
- Business must have an ABN
- Small and medium sized businesses with an employee headcount from 1 to 199 employees
- Business must have been operating a minimum of 24 months
- Business must be entirely located within state or territory you are applying for
- Your project must be aimed at reducing the energy consumption of your business and have at least $10,000 in eligible expenditure
Energy efficient projects that are eligible include:
- Split Systems / HVAC
- Electric Heat Pump
- Energy Audit
- LED Upgrade
- Switchboard Upgrade
- Other (including equipment upgrades)
