John moved to Perth seven years ago and has worked for O'Brien® for five years servicing the suburbs predominately on the north of the River. Having worked as a glazier also in his hometown of Canberra, he said there is a noticeable difference in the jobs he works on now.

‘In Perth, because of the warmer weather, people have more glass in their homes and there are a number of window systems you have in WA that you don’t have in Canberra.’

John said his favourite jobs are the more technical jobs and those that he works on as part of a team. ‘The O'Brien® team in Perth is pretty close knit. I love working as part of a team with them and solving problems together.’

John has embraced the lifestyle in Perth, saying he would never go back to Canberra. ‘I love spending time outdoors. Rottnest Island is one of my favourite places to go in Perth. It is like being on holidays but literally only 45 minutes from my home.’
