THE BEST! for customer service for high quality workmanship and for price. Ive been on the coast for 40 years and wish i found these guys sooner. Ive used obriens plumbing 3 times now and they have been fantastic the whole team are very friendly very helpfull and everything is explained thoroughly.

Hired to resolve a significantly low-pressure issue with our hot water at the end of March. The plumber came in, recognised the level of the problem straight away, and then proceeded to quote for almost $1000 to fix. It became usable for approximately 1 month before the problem returned. Called them back to resolve, and they attempted to charge $750 to do "the next stage" with an updated quote saying "no guarantees to fix it," which included almost $400 to fix an issue with the street water main (which I subsequently read was the council's responsibility). At this point, I asked them to email the quote to me (strangely enough, they didn't) and then subsequently said they would report the main issue to the council to get them to resolve it, and I would hear back from them, which I didn't. Both plumbers who attended were actively in communication with "the boss".

Update : 3 days later, no call from the team or Brad. The reviews are good for simple issues but it appears complex issues maybe a problem.

I don't have a complaint about the work performed, which was to take out an old rainwater tank pump and put in a length of less than a metre of copper to restore the connection. My complaint is about the pricing: $670 incl GST. I could have rejected the quote. That would have cost me $99 as a turn-up fee. Rejecting the quote would have meant getting another plumber, who would also have charged through the nose. I guess my complaint is about the NSW plumbing fraternity, who feel it's right to charge as if they're 24-hour on-call brain surgeons. Not convinced? I was also quoted, unsolicited, on replacing two leaking garden taps for a cool $325 incl GST. I turned that down: I'm not a plumber or a 24-hour on-call brain surgeon, but replacing a washer is something even I can do, costing maybe $2 incl GST.

O'Brien's Plumbing Wyong were able to rectify a problem created by a terrible repair job done recently by another plumber who tried to take a short cut, didn't do the job properly and made the issue worse. Corey did a great job fixing the problem and that worry has now gone. Communication was great and the staff were so friendly and easy to talk to and will try to work through any issues or answer any questions.

Super happy to have Ben as our trading today. His attention to detail, expertise and professionalism is certainly appreciated. Top job Ben! We were provided a detailed explanation of the quote and installation process, sent a reminder message and it just made us feel safe to choose their service.
