Hired to resolve a significantly low-pressure issue with our hot water at the end of March. The plumber came in, recognised the level of the problem straight away, and then proceeded to quote for almost $1000 to fix. It became usable for approximately 1 month before the problem returned. Called them back to resolve, and they attempted to charge $750 to do "the next stage" with an updated quote saying "no guarantees to fix it," which included almost $400 to fix an issue with the street water main (which I subsequently read was the council's responsibility). At this point, I asked them to email the quote to me (strangely enough, they didn't) and then subsequently said they would report the main issue to the council to get them to resolve it, and I would hear back from them, which I didn't. Both plumbers who attended were actively in communication with "the boss".

Attached is a photo of the current water level that they can't fix.

Update : 3 days later, no call from the team or Brad. The reviews are good for simple issues but it appears complex issues maybe a problem.

I had a roof leek about a month ago due to heavy rain. O’Brien roofer provided e detailed explanation as to why the leak occurred part of the roof was changed. He also advised how frequently to clean the roof and any professional clean/service on an annual basis. I was happy with the service. I waited to provide feedback due to on login rains and wanted to ensure the roof all good 🙂. Ps. This is my first house and did not know what was needed, they made me feel comfortable.

What Causes Toilet Problems?

Although toilets can look simple from the outside, they do require a number of moving parts to function properly. As with most plumbing problems, there is usually a simple fix if you know what to look for.

A toilet that has water constantly running is both annoying and costly. It’s usually caused by the ballcock, the float cup or an issue with the valve seal.

While toilets that are slow to fill are often caused by a clogged fill valve. When this happens, it can also lead to a toilet that doesn’t flush properly too.

From experience, the most common problems our plumbers on the Central Coast encounter when it comes to toilet repairs are blocked toilets.

In most cases, blockages can be fixed with a plunger. However, if it’s a large blockage or a the drain is blocked further down the line, you’ll most likely need professional help.

How To Avoid A Blocked Toilet Or Toilet Repairs

Just like blocked drains, there are a few key tips to follow to avoid nasty blocked toilet problems.

Clean Your Toilet With Toilet-Friendly Products. Strong chemicals can often do damage to your pipes as well as wear down rubber seals in your toilet. Also, avoid plastic automatic toilet bowl cleaners that hang inside your toilet. These are typically made from low quality plastic and can break easily when flushing, leading to blocked toilets.

Only Flush Toilet Paper. Only flush toilet paper down your drains. If staying home during COVID has taught us anything, it’s that “flushable wipes” are anything but. These, as well as other common toiletries like cotton swabs, tampons, baby wipes and other foreign objects should always be disposed of properly. Everytime you flush something other than toilet paper you run the risk of clogging up your toilet drains.

Check Regularly For Leaks. If you notice even small volumes of water pooling near your toilet, it could be a sign of a small leak. Caught early, these are usually easy fixes. Left unchecked and you can face more costly repairs.
