O’Brien Breaks GrO’und on New National Distribution Centre
We have officially broken ground on our new National Distribution Centre at Badgerys Creek – a major milestone that marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our people, our partners and the customers we serve across Australia.
A Ceremony Marking the Start of Something Big
The sod‑turning ceremony, signalled the start of construction on a state‑of‑the‑art, purpose‑built facility that will redefine the way we operate for decades to come.
Located within the emerging Western Sydney International Airport Business Precinct, O’Brien is proud to be the first development to commence construction in the precinct.
“Being the first development in the Western Sydney International Airport Business Precinct underscores our confidence in the region and our commitment to investing in infrastructure that supports our people, our customers and long‑term growth,” said Miles Wilson, Managing Director, O’Brien. “This facility is a major step in strengthening our national network and ensuring we’re ready for the future.”

A Purpose‑Built Facility for a Future‑Ready O’Brien
The new 17,000sqm National Distribution Centre will bring together warehousing, logistics, automation and modern workplace design under one roof. It will serve as the central hub for our national supply chain – enabling faster delivery, greater capacity and a more connected network for our 150+ locations and commercial customers.
This investment is not just about a new building. It’s about creating a smarter, more scalable foundation that supports our long‑term strategy and positions O’Brien for the next generation of growth.
Leading the Way in a Transformational New Precinct
The Western Sydney International Airport Business Precinct is set to become one of Australia’s most connected commercial hubs, supported by major arterial links including the M7, M4 and the new M12 motorway. With the airport due to commence commercial services soon, the precinct will play a critical role in supporting aviation, logistics, workforce and community needs.

Building for the Future
This new National Distribution Centre is more than a facility – it’s a long‑term investment in how we will support Australians for years to come. It reflects who we are: future‑focused, ambitious and committed to sustainable growth for our people, our partners and the communities we serve.
There is a lot to be excited about – and this is only the beginning.
