How long does a window glass replacement or installation take?

The length of time required for an expert job completion depends on the type of glass, size, and location of your window.

An accessible aluminium window, for instance, will usually take about 45 minutes to complete a glass replacement.

Why can’t you use the existing glass when installing a pet door?

For the safety of your pets and for durability, we only use toughened glass. Toughened glass has to be cut to size to suit your requirements, including the hole where the pet door will be installed. ‘

Toughened glass is also more durable to withstand the constant flexing and knocking it will endure as a result of your pet going in and out of the door.

Can you handle my glass insurance claim?

We have arrangements with most major insurance brands, so we can usually assist policyholders with their glass damage claims.

Contact us to see if we can find out if you are covered for glass damage or whether there’s an excess to pay.

We’ll try and make this as hassle-free as possible for you.

What protocols are your staff following?

O’Brien® always takes customer care seriously. Depending on the level of COVID alert in your area, during your appointment, our technicians and glaziers will follow a COVID checklist that we have developed to ensure consistency and care for you and our team’s safety.

This may include frequent handwashing, wiping down tools, cleaning surfaces and touchpoints, and practising a 2-metre distance.

Our team members may also wear a mask and/or disposable gloves and will try to avoid all physical touch. Our staff may ask customers a series of health-related questions to help manage their booking in COVID hotspot areas.
