We are proud to announce that we have officially opened our new Brisbane Distribution Centre in Acacia Ridge – a major investment that strengthens our Queensland operations and supports our future growth across the state.
Located at 38–56 Peterkin Street, the purpose‑built 6,700sqm facility is more than 2.7 times the size of our previous site in Wakerley. Designed to create a stronger, more efficient and future‑ready supply chain network, the new centre enhances our ability to support customers, Service Centres and wholesale partners throughout Queensland.
As Miles Wilson, our Managing Director, emphasises, the new facility marks an important step in our national strategy.

Celebrating the Opening
To mark this milestone, we welcomed key representatives and community leaders to celebrate the official opening of the new centre. Julie‑Ann Campbell MP, Federal Member for Moreton, and James Martin MP, State Member for Stretton, joined our O’Brien team for the ribbon‑cutting ceremony and a tour of the facility.
Their attendance highlighted the importance of strong local partnerships and the role our new centre will play in supporting Queensland customers, businesses and communities.
A Larger, Smarter and More Connected Facility
Strategically positioned within 10km of Brisbane’s centre, our new distribution centre provides increased storage and distribution capability, with more than 7,100 pick locations and capacity for 5,700 SKUs – a substantial uplift from the previous site.
The facility has been designed to improve how we operate, with:
- A significantly larger footprint to support increased stock holding and distribution
- Improved inventory flow and freight‑in efficiency
- Modern material‑handling equipment to enhance safety and speed
- Better amenities and a more contemporary working environment for our teams
Supporting Technicians, Customers and Sustainability
Our new facility also includes a dedicated Commercial Vehicles Centre for repairs, replacements and recalibration, ensuring we can better support commercial fleets and specialist vehicles across Queensland.
We have also established a new Centre of Excellence onsite to support technician training and development – reinforcing our commitment to building capability, expertise and long‑term career pathways for our people.
Sustainability has been embedded into the design, with the facility targeting a 4 Star Green rating. Solar and battery systems are expected to generate approximately 50 per cent of the site’s power needs, reducing environmental impact and supporting more efficient operations.
